Think LED beyond white

It´s a must to understand the importance of lighting in a project, because if it is done well, it has the ability to change the emotions and comfort of the people who use the space.

Color temperature or CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) efers to the appearance of the light source's color in relation to the appearance of an incandescent light source held at a specific temperature and measured on the Kelvin (K) scale.

Hence the need to understand “color temperature”, which is measured in Kelvin and the higher it is, the lighter the shade. It is usual to use the term “warm” for yellowish tones and “cool” for bluish tones.

The more yellow ones are used to create more intimate and relaxing environments, more commonly used in homes and spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms. The whiter and bluer ones, on the other hand, are excellent for increasing attention levels and concentration in work environments, for example.

What many people don't know is that LED also has a wide color temperature range. Many people think that LED is only offered in the bluest (whitest) shades, such as 6000 Kelvin. But that's not true.

Some manufacturers offer a range of options. For the same model of luminaire, you can choose the color temperature of the LED. This is only possible through national manufacturers who can customize the manufacture according to the customer's needs. LED luminaire brands that import Asian products generally only have options in the 6000K range because they have more output.

LED can be used to create beautiful and distinctive lighting projects!
