VR9035B - Loss of synchronization can generate violent oscillating currents in the stator, and should be turned off (more common) or a resynchronization attempt should be made. The relay also provides protection against excessive polar angle in leading and lagging positions, which would cause power factors outside the specification. For both types of protection, the VR9035A relay provides a selection of tripping or not, which allows optional use of the “Resync” signal. Any disturbances in the network, which could be interpreted as loss of synchronization, can be ignored by adjusting the sensitivity and choosing between two types of “Step Out” detection available, depending on the user's line conditions.
• Two different selectable protections: Step Out and Polar Angle.
• “Resync” signal in case of Step Out.
• Voltage signal: 115 VAC -30%/+15%.
• Current signal: 100 mA to 1 A.
• LED indication of actuation and faults.
• “Enable” and “Reset” signal inputs via dry contacts (10 mA/12 VDC optically coupled).
• “Test” and “Reset” buttons on the front.
• 110 VAC or 220 VAC power supply.
• Polar angle limits defined on order and pre-adjusted at the factory.
• Voltage signal output proportional to the P.F. for measurement.
