The ZYGGOT THM+ARC is an innovative and integrated solution from Varixx that combines continuous thermographic monitoring with advanced arc flash protection. Designed for low and medium voltage systems, it delivers high performance, reliability, and safety in a single compact device—optimizing space and increasing the availability of critical assets.

With cutting-edge non-contact thermography and ultraviolet (UV) arc detection without the need for current measurement, the ZYGGOT THM+ARC acts both preventively and responsively, detecting thermal faults and arc events quickly and accurately.

Available in Mono and Multi-Gateway versions, the system easily adapts to various industrial architectures, making it ideal for substations, motor control centers (MCCs), data centers, and critical renewable energy installations.

Up to 4,100 integrated temperature and arc sensors
The system combines continuous thermographic monitoring with ultra-fast arc detection, supporting up to 100 temperature sensors per system and 100 arc sensors per gateway — for a total of up to 4,000 arc sensors. A scalable and robust solution for comprehensive monitoring and advanced protection, especially in high-power systems.

Intelligent combination of online arc flash and temperature sensors provides a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, protection and safety of critical electrical assets.

High-efficiency sensors, designed to accurately and quickly detect the occurrence of electrical arcs.
Online Thermography Sensors
High-efficiency sensors for low and medium voltage assets, designed to monitor the temperature of electrical panels, minimizing failures and the risk of overheating.
Electric Arc Selectivity
The multi-gateway version allows arc selectivity, independently tripping circuit breakers with a low-cost gateway per compartment and a single trip unit for the entire system, promoting safety and minimizing the impact on interdependent systems. Reduces incident energy by up to 150 times compared to traditional systems, promoting safer and more efficient mitigation.

In low and medium-voltage panels, a single arc fault can destroy cubicles, damage busbars, compromise transformers or motors, and, most importantly, halt critical operations for hours or even days. The ZYGGOT® THM+ARC acts before the arc fully develops, detecting UV radiation in the pre-arc phase and triggering in less than 260 µs.
